December 2021 - Dyeing with Pine Cones and Leek Tops

Such a variety of colour of wool and string using different mordants ... drying on the Rayburn .... warm rust and brown shades from pine cones on the left and pale lemon green and oatmeal from the boiled leek tops!

Rannoch Pine Weaving

January 2023 - March 2023 "Ranch Pine" ... with wood, wool and inspiration from the dense dark aged wood and autumnal tones of Perthshire ... the wood was discovered underwater in Loch Ranch.the world was dyed with pine cones from our Old Schoolhouse pine tree.
